McFly star Danny Jones is celebrating after becoming engaged to his longterm girlfriend Georgia Horsley. The singer is to become the third member of the band to walk down the aisle after proposing on Thursday night. Danny, 27, announced the happy news on his Twitter page shortly afterwards, writing excitedly: 'The future mrs j yeahhhhhhhh!!!'
He added a picture of the happy couple gleaming at the camera while Georgia showed off her diamond sparkler on her ring finger. And Georgia added the same picture on her page shortly afterwards, gushing: 'Soooo this happened tonight!! I'M ENGAGED!!!!! So so happy!!!'
Danny's bandmate Tom Fletcher was the first of the band to get married to his longterm love Giovanna Falcone, and her brother Mario Falcone of TOWIE fame has been the first to congratulate Danny and Georgia.
Jones and Horsley started dating in late 2009 - shortly after he split from her Miss England successor Laura Coleman. But Danny previously admitted he wasn't ready for marriage, telling the Daily Mirror a year ago: 'It’s serious. But I don’t think I’m quite at the putting-a-ring-on-her finger stage. Maybe in a couple of years. 'Girls still ask me out and I’m like "No, I’ve got a girlfriend". I’ve done my bit for the boys and it was great while it lasted, but I’m well and truly over that now.'
