Subodh Gupta is an artist from New Delhi who made different
types of paintings and sculptures for this exhibition called ‘Everything is
Inside’.
Gupta’s sculptures are made from Indian
everyday objects and utensils, like steel tiffin boxes, milk
pails and even bicycles. By incorporating these objects into his
work, Gupta reflects the transformation of his homeland.
OPINION
From our point of view, this artist’s work is
beautiful but, it’s not just simply that, it’s also meaningful since it
represents his own life in India, and, through his, everybody else’s.
This work is also a criticism to the society of India,
a complaint about all its repression and unfair wars.
