Mein Kampf, Adolf Hitler’s fascist screed, has been downloaded by thousands of people in the privacy of their iPads in these last months, making it become into an eBook Bestseller.
The printed copies of this book are barely bought,
however, due to the new technologies, it’s topping the propaganda and political
psychology chart on Amazon. It also sits in second place in its
political science and ideology bestseller list, and 11th in World War
II charts.
OPINION
We think this is happening because people might not
have wanted to buy Mein Kampf at stores for fear to be judged by
people. It is not nice to have it on your living room bookshelf or bedroom
nightstand, or get spotted reading it on a subway or park, so people buy it on
the Internet and then drop it into a folder or delete it.
In our opinion, it is ok as long
as people use it for cultural and academic interests, and don’t misuse it.
