Monaco confirmed on its official website
that Colombia star Radamel “El Tigre” Falcao tore his ACL in Wednesday’s Coupe de France victory over
fourth-tier Chasselay Monts d’Or Azergues, and he is likely to miss this
summer’s showcase. For what it’s worth, Monaco did not provide a clear injury
timeline stating that Falcao would miss the tournament. He is slated to have
surgery to repair the ACL in the coming days, but with the World Cup less than
five months away and ACL tears typically taking longer than that to heal, it
would be nothing short of outrageous to expect a comeback that soon.
In my opinion is a bad
new for the people who likes so much football, because is a very important
player for his team in the way to play world football cup. Initially he can't
play football during the next six months but he will try to play in the world
cup with his selection, Colombia. That will be bad for Monaco, his actually
club, in the fight to win the title of champion of the french league. Immediately,
when the player fallen injured, much of people, football teams, important
persons in the world of football and many clubs, wish him a good soon
recuperation.
